Global Compliance Director

Job Summary This position has global accountability for developing and directing the global ethics, business conduct and compliance function for worldwide operations in accordance with the Babcock & Wilcox Company Ethics and Compliance Program Charter, with input from executive management and the Board of Directors and defined by regulatory guidance.  The Global Compliance Director will report into the Chief Compliance Officer, will oversee and manage the company's enterprise-wide Ethics and Compliance Program and coordinates activities and processes that promote a culture of high ethical standards and compliance with global laws and regulations.  The Global Compliance Director will be responsible for the following: Duties and Responsibilities Determines appropriateness of global Ethics and Compliance initiatives and provides leadership and oversight to ensure development and implementation of strategies, policies and programs as it affects our international operations. Responsible for the oversight of all company activities relating to standards of conduct, and ethical relationships with Joint Venture Partners, Agents, customers, contractors, suppliers, employees, shareholders and the communities in which the company's international business is being conducted. Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the due diligence program for Third Party Intermediaries in partnership with the Legal department and Supply Chain Management.  Provides leadership in the development of an international compliance risk management program to assess, prioritize and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements and benchmarking research, facilitating the systematic assessment and management of compliance risks. Responsible for the company's confidential reporting systems as they apply internationally to allow employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the corporation's ethical standards, violations of law, or corporate policy relating to such matters without fear of retaliation and in accordance with local law (Ethics "Integrity Line"). Responsible for effectively communicating the international ethics and compliance standards and procedures to all employees and other agents, through training programs and publications. Ensures compliance with applicable U.S. and international compliance laws and regulations, including working closely with accounting and other departments to ensure sufficient internal controls are in place to detect and deter noncompliance. Provides guidance to senior officers and senior managers on all ethics, business conduct and compliance matters and their impact on organizational effectiveness and business success. Provides comprehensive reports as required in accordance with the Charter for the Babcock & Wilcox Ethics and Compliance Program. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
