Network Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Network Engineer in the Information Technology Group to support our Wheel & Transportation business unit.  This position can be located at our manufacturing locations in Barberton or Cleveland Ohio and provides direct support for the process control and Smart Manufacturing Cisco and Rockwell industrial networks.  This IT group supports the commercial, manufacturing and distribution activities for AWTP.   The duties & responsibilities of this position include:   Implementing equipment installation plans based on the Network Administrators or IT Managers specifications, Maintaining each component of the network and troubleshoot issues. Monitoring any applicable network firewall, Assessing the functionality of network devices and working with the corporate security teams to ensure local compliance. Provide systems expertise in the solutions area assigned including support to sustaining activities and to project activities for the assigned area. Perform self-audit activities along with process documentation development, update and review. Evaluate business problems and processes, evaluate requirements, scope, functionality, priorities Provide recommended solution alternatives in alignment with business objectives. Development of project requirements, including detailed specs, work estimates, timelines, deliverables and milestones including plan development for small to medium sized projects. Provide leadership and direction to other work teams, such as Arconic Corporate workgroups. Develops an in-depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the Arconic Wheel and Transportation Products business. Pursues continuous learning consistent with changes in technology and uses this to influence IS direction. Leverage day-to-day interaction and activities to identify process improvement opportunities, sharing knowledge with other team members. Sustain the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment. Respond to network connectivity issues within appropriate Service Level Agreement (SLA) times.  Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational. Use of 3rd party tools, such as Solarwinds, to troubleshoot network performance.   The Network Engineer will also be expected to have basic level of understanding of Windows Server and VmWare environments. The Network Engineer will work closely with many functional groups within the AWTP business, including manufacturing, engineering, quality and finance to design and deliver solutions in alignment with the AWTP strategic direction. This role requires analytical skills, business acumen and will require coordination with corporate functional and technical workgroups. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Associate Degree from an accredited institution Cisco CCENT certification Minimum 2 years' experience in managing computer networks Minimum 1-yearexperience in networkarchitecture and deployment Minimum 1-year VMWare ESXi 6.0 or higher experience in virtual networking Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.   Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification 3+ years' experience managing computer networks 3+ years' experience with networkarchitecture and deployment Windows Server or VmWare ESXI certifications Exposure to basic Windows Server management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
